Ajman was the second emirate to offer freehold property in emirate. Ajman International Airport hosting about two million passengers per year has also been announced, and construction will start in the second half of 2008 in the Al Manama area of the Ajman, and airport operations are set to start by 2011

About Ajman

The Emirate of Ajman is situated on the coast of the Persian Gulf, extending over a distance of 16 Kilometres long, between the emirates of Umm Al-Qiwain and Sharjah. The area of the emirate is 259 Sq. Km., equivalent to 0.3% of the country’s total area, excluding the islands. The population is estimated to be 123,000 for 1996.
The town of Ajman lies on the coast of the Persian Gulf. It comprises the Ruler’s office, companies, banks and commercial markets. The port of Ajman is located along a natural creek which penetrates the town.

Population and transportation:

Dubai is home to 1,321,453 residents and high part of population employed.

Transportation in Dubai is metered local taxis, intracity and intercity buses, private car hire services and Abras (local boats).

And Dubai metro project began in Feb. 06. The first phase is about 52.1 km (32.5 miles) with 29 stations and will open in 2009.

The whole 52.1 km is expected to take 60 minutes to travel with an estimated 32,000 passenger per hour from Rashidvia to Jebelali passing the American university of Dubai.
